Together with her passion for Oriental Dance, it is African Dance which has become Sylka`s trademark. The idea of Afro-Oriental was born back in 1991 and developed into the successful form seen in "The shadow of Baobab".

Inspired by this experience, Sylka created her Solo-dance "Afro-oriental". She herself conceived the music and together with the Egyptian percussionist and the Senegalese Griot-drummer Sidi Koite developed a unique show.

The result is a tailor-made show that has become a favourite with the public.
